Be yourself or Lost yourself? - Part II
September 29, 2006 by antoniooi
I recently met someone, she read my Part I blog of this title. After reading, she keeps telling me that she finally realized she never knew herself well. But one thing she never realized, while able to describe to me about her problem, she is awake. When you are able to define the problem, you are near to the answer. In fact, she can express better than me. Below is what she wrote in her first blog:
"…i never realise these questions for so many years..may be, it always in my deepest heart, but i plough it under my heart.
Its burst out some times, but i ignore it..I tot i am going to be like tat for rest of my life and i wish to…leading my life no where..bringing myself not seriously..WASTING MY TIME DAY BY DAY…N i tot i know myself very well.
Who’s know..my greatest fear…" Is wasting my life and i cant do anything about it"
She understands deeply of I said in my previous blog, she really gets me. I love that sentence:
"Who’s know..my greatest fear…’ Is wasting my life and i cant do anything about it’"
Yes, the ‘evil’ that I’m referring to is the ‘fear’ that she was talking about, and people are hiding from it and ignore it. The greatest fear of human beings is unable to face themselves and forgive themselves. When others hate them, they can create excuses to defense; when ones hate themselves, they found no excuse to forgive. Therefore, for them to contunue living better (which they think they will), they choose to ignore — sweeping the dust under the carpet.
Someone privately message me after reading my blog: "You really think u know yourself well?" Apparently, this question came from dissatifactory and disagreement. "Sometimes human forced to be changed by the situation…" Yes, but are you changing to a stronger YOU or weaker YOU? Are you changing more towards yourself or changing to become nowhere else that you can’t even recognise yourself? Look at the mirror, do you know who you are?
This is why William Wallace, the king of Scottland said:
"Everyone dies, not everyone really lives"
Willian Wallace, a man who born for freedom, die for freedom. England took away their land, their life, their women, and their freedom. "What would you do if you don’t have freedom?!" Wlliam asked his fellow army, who were trying to runway due to the gigantic size of England’s army. "Will you fight?!" he said again. "No! We will run! We will live!" One of the soldiers shouted at him. "Yea…you can live, at least for a little bit longer…but if you FIGHT, you can give yourself one more chance, just one more chance to live to FREEDOM~~~~~!"
As I mentioned in my previous blog:
"Don’t just live with your body, live with your soul too!"
